Every piece is handmade to order in our North East workshop. We work with the grain, knots and character of each board, shaping and finishing it individually. Those details make your shelf one of a kind: a statement piece with a place in everyday family life.
Soft White brightens the timber while allowing its natural grain to remain part of the design. Against warm neutrals it feels gentle and relaxed; alongside darker walls it creates a fresh, subtle contrast.
The straight flat edge suits tidy kitchen arrangements, a display above a sideboard or a quiet reading corner. It is an understated piece with enough individual character to feel special wherever you place it.
We use Littlefair’s wood dyes to bring colour and the timber’s natural detail together. Careful preparation and individual finishing are part of the attention we give each piece at Rutherford Works.
