Our Black Ebony Flat Edge Shelf gives your favourite belongings a striking place in the room. Think pale ceramics, leafy plants or family photographs set against rich black timber colour, with a straight edge that keeps the arrangement beautifully simple.

Every piece is handmade to order in our North East workshop. We work with the grain, knots and character of each board, shaping and finishing it individually. Those details make your shelf one of a kind: a statement piece with a place in everyday family life.

The Black Ebony finish adds definition to light interiors and complements brass, warm wood and deeper wall colours. Visible grain gives the dark surface texture and individuality.

The flat edge creates a crisp, architectural line, making this a natural choice for contemporary kitchens and living spaces. Style one as a focal point or discuss a matching set made to suit your wall.

We use Littlefair’s wood dyes to bring colour and the timber’s natural detail together. Careful preparation and individual finishing are part of the attention we give each piece at Rutherford Works.
